Parenting Preschoolers

Helping children grow through love and limits

Parenting is both rewarding and challenging! The preschool years can be especially trying, but this time offers us the chance to sew positive seeds for the future.  Be a part of this exciting group where you can meet other parents and share ideas, stories, laughs, and LEARN PRACTICAL GUIDELINES for handling parenting challenges from the not-so-terrible two’s through the transition into school age.

Parenting is not one-size-fits-all.  Your individual parenting beliefs and values are the basis for your child’s upbringing.  This group will help you to identify your parenting beliefs and utilize your strengths toward positive parenting practices.  This will help both you and your child to build confidence.

In this group, we will discuss parenting issues common to most families, in a relaxed and encouraging way.  Parenting preschoolers challenges us to slow down, calm down, and even laugh at ourselves at times.  Group topics will include:

How can I maintain structure and routine with my busy, hectic lifestyle?

How do I get my child to listen… AND follow through?!

Is that NORMAL?!?    Age-appropriate expectations and behaviors

“But everyone else has one!”    Saying “no” in the age of indulgence

Please just go to bed… and stay there this time!

Time Out?  My child enjoys it too much!

Mommy/Daddy needs alone time!   Balance demands of parenting and self

Why do grocery stores seem to induce temper tantrums?!

“I love you both EXACTLY the same!”   Handling sibling rivalry
